Torben Jacobsen Ph.D, CEO and President

Torben joined us in 1997 as Managing Director and added a touch of grey hair and extensive international management experience to the then Ibsen Micro Structures A/S. Torben has held various leading management positions with large Danish companies before joining Ibsen. Torben is also an active board member. He holds a Ph.D from the Technical University in Denmark and a B.Com. from Copenhagen Business School.

Kim Vejlby Hansen, Chairman

Kim Vejlby Hansen is Executive Vice President, Business & Product Development at FOSS, which is a minority shareholder in Ibsen Photonics. Kim holds a Masters Degree from the Technical University in Denmark. Besides the board position at Ibsen he holds a number of other board positions.

Per E. Ibsen, Founder

Per Ibsen was the leading founder of Ibsen Micro Structures A/S back in 1991 and was in charge of the company until he decided to hire Torben in 1997. Before Ibsen Micro Structures A/S Per was involved in start-ups that commercialized diffractive optics. Per's innovative thinking and his drive to make his start-up a success was rewarded by the Danish Optical Society (DOPS) in 2000 with the DOPS Senior Prize. Per holds a Masters Degree from the Technical University in Denmark.

Iain Robertson

Iain Robertson is an experienced chairman, chief executive and non-executive director of technology businesses in both the private and public sectors. Iain has extensive international expertise gained in the electronics and photonics industries. He is a past chairman of Cambridge Semiconductor Ltd, currently chairman of Nallatech Ltd and Intense Ltd. Among other contributions, Iain brings an international experience to Ibsen. Iain lives in UK.

Thomas Evers Christensen

Thomas Evers Christensen is Vice President, Research and Development at Oticon A/S in Denmark and has many years of experience from the electronics and acoustics industries in Denmark. Besides the board position at Ibsen, Thomas holds a board position at Sennheiser Communications. Thomas holds a Master's Degree from the Technical University in Denmark.
